This Privacy Policy governs your use of Guestim (the “Application”) created and operated by guestim.com (“we”, “us”, “our”).

The Application helps users identify, extract, and organize invoices from their email accounts by scanning emails and attachments after the user connects their email with permission.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information

The Application obtains information you provide when you download and register for the Application. Registration may be optional in some versions; however, you may not be able to use certain features unless you register.

When you register with us and use the Application, you generally provide information such as:

Identity and account details: name, email address, age, username, password, and other registration information.
Transaction-related information: information related to purchases, subscriptions, offers, or use of paid features.
Support communications: information you provide when you contact us for help.
Payment information: credit card or payment details for purchases (typically processed by third-party payment providers).
In-app information: information you enter into our system when using the Application (for example, preferences and settings).

We may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide important service information, required notices, and (where permitted) service-related updates.

Email Access and Invoice Extraction (Core Feature)

If you choose to connect an email account (for example, Gmail, Outlook, or another provider), the Application will request your permission to access your email account to extract invoices.

With your explicit consent, the Application may access and process:

Email metadata: sender, recipient, subject line, date/time, folders/labels.
Email content: message body text where needed to detect invoice information.
Attachments: files such as PDFs, images, spreadsheets, or documents that may contain invoices.

Purpose limitation: We use this access only to provide invoice extraction and organization features (for example: detecting invoices, extracting invoice details, categorizing them, and creating your invoice list). We do not sell your email content and do not use it to build advertising profiles.

You can revoke the Application’s email access at any time through your email provider’s connected-apps or security settings.

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including but not limited to:

the type of device you use
device identifiers
IP address
operating system
browser type
information about how you use the Application (such as feature usage, performance, and diagnostics)

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information?

No. The Application does not collect precise information about the location of your device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

Only aggregated, anonymized data may be periodically transmitted to external services to help us improve the Application and our service. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways described in this Privacy Policy.

We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, court order, or similar legal process.
When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
With trusted service providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose, and have agreed to follow this Privacy Policy (for example, hosting, analytics, customer support, and invoice-processing infrastructure).
Business transfers: if guestim.com is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership or uses of this information, as well as choices you may have regarding your information.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it using the standard uninstall processes available on your device or app marketplace.

For email-connected features, you can also revoke email access permissions via your email provider at any time.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

We will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. We will retain Automatically Collected information for up to 24 months and thereafter may store it in aggregated form.

and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Please note that some User Provided Data may be required in order for the Application to function properly.

Account Deletion and Data Deletion

If you decide to delete your account, we will remove the data associated with your account within a reasonable timeframe, unless we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations.

This includes:

personal account information
extracted invoice data saved in your account
stored copies of invoice attachments (if applicable)

After account deletion, we will also disable the credentials or tokens used to access your email account and stop all ongoing processing.

Children

We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a child has provided us with information without consent, they should contact us at idobloch@guestim.com or support@guestim.com. We will delete such information within a reasonable time.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. Access to information is limited to authorized employees and contractors who need it to operate, develop, or improve the Application. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy and, where appropriate, providing notice via email or within the Application. Continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you consent to our processing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy now and as amended. “Processing” includes collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining, and disclosing information.

If you reside outside the United States, your information may be transferred, processed, and stored in jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate, under applicable privacy standards.
